10 worst videogames that got unfairly good reviews

Grand Theft Auto IV

Grand Theft Auto IV forgot its roots, simple as that. The previous installations in the series were great because they didn’t take themselves too seriously. The tongue-in-cheek humor and slightly unrealistic gameplay of the first entries in the series are what made them so memorable. GTA IV abandoned that ideal, and proceeded to make a game that didn’t really feel like GTA at all.

The majority of the humor was replaced by stereotypical characters and a half-decent storyline. Thankfully, GTA returned to form with one of the best games of the past few years, GTA V, which, by the way, is still selling a huge amount of copies, even on consoles. Rockstar learned from their mistakes, and hopefully GTA VI will be even better.
