Posting on the r/pcgaming subreddit, a Reddit user by the name of pip12345 shared a clip showing an attempted uninstall of the game with the heading: “Fallout 76 beta can’t be uninstalled until you buy it…”

Fallout 76 beta can’t be uninstalled until you buy it… from r/pcgaming

In the clip, which you can watch above, a message can be seen popping up that states: “You do not have access to this game.”

The Bethesda.net launcher then goes on to state that you must be “signed in with the Bethesda.net account associated with the purchase of this game.”
Huh.
Whether or not this is some sort of error, or part of the plan Bethesda has to roll out the full launch of the game, it yet to be confirmed, but fans are pretty perplexed about the whole situation.

Reports of the phenomenon aren’t isolated to just pip12345, with lots of Fallout 76 PC beta players facing the same problem.

Despite numerous posts popping up on both the r/pcgaming and Bethesda’s own forums complaining about the issue, Bethesda has yet to comment on the problem.
