Manga Prequel For Resident Evil 6 Coming to America


Manga publisher Viz Media, has announced that Naoki Serizawa’s Biohazard series will be heading to America.  The manga will take place before the events of Resident Evil 6 which surrounds the global outbreaks of the C-virus. Within the story, you’ll finally learn the source of the virus and where it first started to outbreak.

This is a five volume manga with the first volume being released this November. The story description according to Anime News Network is as follows.

The highly virulent C-virus became a global disaster, but where did the outbreak start? In this five-volume manga prequel to the hit Resident Evil 6 game with story and art by Naoki Serizawa, the terrifying origins are revealed. At the prestigious and elite Marhawa High School in Singapore, a female student suffers a horrifying transformation. Called in to investigate, Professor Doug Wright and his nephew Ricky find themselves caught up in a deadly and growing tragedy. As things get rapidly out of hand, Chris Redfield and his team from the Bioterrorism Security Assessment Alliance arrive on the scene, while behind it all a mysterious figure looms.

Capcom’s Resident Evil 6 was first released in 2012 and received mixed reviews. The game allowed players to switch between four scenarios all of which are connected in the main storyline. The characters present to play through with are Leon S. Kennedy, Chris Redfield, Jake Muller and Ada Wong.
