Marvel Producers Reveal Huge News About Deadpool’s Fate

Despite Deadpool not actually being in Avengers: Infinity War, there have been question marks over whether Thanos’ infamous ‘snap’ would affect the anti-hero.

Marvel Studios President, Kevin Feige was quizzed on the true implications of Thanos’ quest to wipe out half of the world whilst appearing on the red carpet.

Thanks to the merge of Disney and Fox – who currently look after the X-Men side of Marvel, it’s kickstarted talks of a time when every Marvel character becomes part of the same universe.

Fear not though, as Feige, after a little hesitation, suggested that Deadpool wouldn’t have been affected by the events of Infinity War after all.

“That’s a good question. Nobody’s asked me that question,’ he told Variety.

“I mean, technically speaking, he was not in the MCU. He was not in that cinematic universe, so he was not affected, probably.”

Feige did use the opportunity to address those rumours of some kind of crossover between universes, admitting that he would like to explore the possibility.

“The merger’s not done. What I will say is, for years and years the dream has been to have access to as many of our characters back, so we could tell those stories at Marvel Studios,” he teased.

“If and when that happens I’ll be very excited.”

In the meantime I guess all we can do is get back to the painful wait for the STILL UNTITLED Avengers 4. That includes speculating on intense fan theories and generally clutching at straws.

Though speaking at a special screening of Black Panther, Emmy-winning critic Erick Weber, said Kevin spilled all the tea about Avengers and Marvel’s other forthcoming projects.

Revealing Kevin’s answers to questions, Erick told his Twitter followers: ‘AVENGERS 4 trailer “before the end of the year”, Namor COULD make an appearance, still deciding IF & when, GUARDIANS 3 status “on hold”.’

Chris Evans had to clear a few things up himself recently too, after what looked like a cryptic goodbye Tweet, sparking rumours that he was set to meet his end in Avengers 4.

Evans who plays Captain America in the now-iconic franchise, shared a heartfelt message following the end of filming for the upcoming movie.

“Officially wrapped on Avengers 4. It was an emotional day to say the least. Playing this role over the last 8 years has been an honor.

To everyone in front of the camera, behind the camera, and in the audience, thank you for the memories! Eternally grateful.”

A week after he sent fans into a meltdown, he sought to clarify his comments.

“I should clarify that I know I did tweet something that made a lot of people think that it was in someway a spoiler,” Evans said during ACE Comic Con in Chicago.

“I should clarify that regardless of how Avengers 4 ends, I would have tweeted the exact same thing. That last day of filming was a very emotional day and it was the culmination of almost 10 years of filming and 22 movies, this unbelievable tapestry.”
