Model Accuses Top Battle Royale Game Of Stealing Her Likeness

Tencent might be in a spot of bother after a model and YouTuber has called the company out for allegedly using her likeness in the battle royale game, Ring Of Elysium.

Mei Yan took to Twitter to expose what she describes as a “freaky and weird” situation.

She started off a thread by saying: “hey twitter it’s been a while but i just wanted to share this here too. i found out recently that the game Ring of Elysium by the company Tecent stole an image of me from several years ago, photoshopped it and used it in their game for their character Lynn (cont).”

She then goes on to say that the company used her image in a trailer without her permission, and even sold an in-game icon bearing her face.

She said: “all this is just really weird and freaky. i’m trying to figure out how to go from here but just thank you all for your support cause i’ve been answering messages all day and i’m glad i’m not the only one who sees it. also thanks to a follower & reddit for showing me this!!”
