Modern Warfare Remastered Isn’t Developed By Infinity Ward, First Multiplayer Maps Confirmed

In a twist in the tale, Activision has revealed that the Modern Warfare Remaster isn’t being developed by Infinity Ward. Raven Software is handling the development duties for the game while Infinity Ward will serve as executive producers for the project.

In what will be music to the ears for the original game’s fans, Activision confirmed that Modern Warfare Remastered will be a fully remastered version of the game. This means the entire single player campaign and 10 multiplayer maps will be made from the ground up for current gen consoles.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered boasts vibrant current generation visuals, with fully improved texture resolution and detail, high-dynamic range lighting, lit and shadowing VFX particles, revamped animation and audio, stunning sound and much more.

Raven Software’s head of studio Brian Raffel seemed very confident that the studio will roll out a game that’ll do justice to the original which forever raised the bar for online multiplayer games.

The original Modern Warfare raised the bar on video games and forever will be remembered as one of the best. It’s an honour to be developing the remaster and we are committed to faithfully remastering this classic for Call of Duty fans.

Activision had confirmed earlier today that Modern Warfare remastered will ship along with its next Call of Duty title Infinite Warfare. You’ll need to purchase either the Legacy Edition or the digital deluxe edition in order to get the game.
