A new bug found in the PlayStation 4 is causing some frustration. The bug comes in the form of an error known as Error CE-34878-0 which only seems to corrupt save files. We’re unsure of just how many games are affecting but it seems that its most commonly found on the titles including Fifa 14, Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag, Call of Duty: Ghosts, NBA 2K14 and Battlefield 4. Luckily, this bug doesn’t seem to be bricking your PS4 as of yet but does become a problem when you can’t advance in your video game.
Some users are finding an easy fix from just applying the latest patches available but again that doesn’t seem to be fixing everyone’s PlayStation 4’s. Sony has announced that their aware of the problem and are working on a fix but nothing just quite yet on when gamers can expect the latest update. For the mean time it looks like if you have an affected a PlayStation 4 console then you’ll have to play shorter game sessions to ensure your save doesn’t corrupt or stick to just multiplayer.
With over 4.2 million PlayStation 4 consoles sold since launch we’re unsure just how many of these consoles are potentially liable for being affected with this bug. Keep an eye open for the latest patches and updates that your PlayStation 4 notifications and ensure that you fully download and install them. As always, we’ll keep you updated on the latest!
