Diablo fans have been up in arms since THAT announcement at BlizzCon this year, which revealed that the ‘new’ game that had previously been teased is actually a mobile game.
If you’re still raging at the reveal then don’t despair, because there’s a pretty nice alternative out there for Diablo fans, and it’s really making the most of the scandal with Blizzard.
A website called PlayDiablo4.com recently got players pretty hyped when it was revealed to reroute to a site for the increasingly-popular Path Of Exile, an online RPG that’s free to play.
The site description reads: “Path of Exile is an online Action RPG set in the dark fantasy world of Wraeclast.
“It is designed around a strong online item economy, deep character customisation, competitive PvP and ladder races. The game is completely free and will never be ‘pay to win’.”
More and more people are turning to Path Of Exile in the wake of the BlizzCon announcement, which has left Diablo fans incredibly disappointed.
One player tweeted: “I’m finally making the switch to Path of Exile. I stuck with you as long as I could, Diablo, but Blizzard broke our spirit with this one.”

The timing is impeccable. Path of Exile seems like it will be a great replacement for Diablo 3 given the Blizzard have decided that they hate everyone! (jokes aside, didn’t come across PoE until #immortalgate – It looks great, can’t wait to play!)

It seems Path Of Exile really is benefitting from the BlizzCon flop, as the game is set to be making its way to the PlayStation 4 in December this year and it’s definitely getting a lot of attention right now…
Have you played Path Of Exile?
