PlayStation Plus In China Is So Much Better For These Reasons

This is just unfair. PlayStation Plus in China is SO much better than PlayStation Plus here in the West.

Let’s start with the renewal rewards- the extras and deals you get in China for purchasing a subscription are just ridiculous. Perks vary by month, but subscribers in China could get games such as Infamous Second Son, The Order: 1886, and Bloodbourne for free. There were also huge discounts on Titanfall 2 and Final Fantasy XV. Subscribers even got a 20% discount on subscription renewal if they renewed in March.

That may seem like a lot, but we haven’t even scratched the surface. The list of games available for free on PlayStation Plus in China are so much better than those in the US. Titles like Until Dawn, Spelunky, Life is Strange, God of War III Remastered, Goat Simulator, and Little Big Planet 3 were all available on PlayStation Plus for FREE for a month each this year (and we’re only in April). Seeing big names like these available on PlayStation Plus makes me kind of upset that Sony doesn’t treat us better.

It does make sense though- the video game market in china is just starting to grow – China recently lifted the ban on foreign gaming consoles in their country. It’s a smart move on Sony’s part. The market is young and people might be hesitant to buy a subscription for PlayStation Plus, so sweetening the deal by adding better perks would encourage more Chinese gamers to subscribe.
