Sony announced at their TGS keynote that their upcoming console, the PlayStation 4, will allow players to capture video of games through the HDMI cable. Sony’s head of third-party relations Brad Douglas followed up on Twitter saying that “Details will follow soon.”
This comes after reports that there would be issues for video capture concerning YouTube as the share button doesn’t connect to that online service like it does with Twitch and Ustream. This could be an easy way for players to get their footage on YouTube.
The PS4 will launch in North America on November 15th, in Europe on November 29th, in select South Asian countries in December and in Japan on February 22nd next year.
