Sony Will Take A Financial Hit This Year


Sony is taking a pretty big financial hit but it’s not because of the PlayStation 4. Turns out other factors within the Sony name is resulting a loss in the financial year. News of which will be reported in depth later this month.

Sony has announced to its investors that the company will be taking a bigger hit than expected. Sony CEO Kaz Hirai has announced that the company is taking a few hits mostly due to the PC side of things with over 130 billion yen. This is because of the lack of Vaio laptop sales along with Sony exiting the PC market in general.

Furthermore, Sony has announced that a loss of 25 billion yen through disc manufacturing. Since streaming media is becoming mainstream, the demand for physical media is no longer being embraced by fans. Sony has announced that the financial results will be released on May 14, 2014.
