Spike VGX 2013 Award Nominees Announced


The Spike Video Game Awards have been rebranded this year as VGX, but it looks to be the same as ever. They announced their 2013 nominees Monday with BioShock Infinite, Grand Theft Auto V, The Last of Us and Tomb Raider leading the pack in nominations. The first three with seven nominations and Tomb Raider with five.

The above four and Super Mario 3D World are up for the Game of the Year award. You can see the full list of categories and nominees below. Grand Theft Auto V, Th Last of Us, Tomb Raider and Rayman Legends are the nominated games in the PlayStation category.

Instead of airing live on Spike TV the show will be livestreamed online. You will be able to watch it on the Xbox One, 360, PlayStation 3, Twitch, iOs and Android devices as well as GameTrailers.com and the websites of Spike, Comedy Central, MTV, MTC 2 and BET. VGX is scheduled to be 3 hours long starting on Saturday, December 7th at 6 p.m. ET/ 3p.m. PT.
