There’s Currently A 400 Hour Bob Ross Marathon Happening On Twitch


Bob Ross was one of those absolute legends, that you just couldn’t help but love.

Known for his incredible painting demonstrations, and uniquely ASMR-adored voice, he was a shining light in what can be considered a pretty bleak world sometimes.

For those of you who don’t know who Bob Ross is, after reading this article get yourself into an online ‘deep-dive’ into some of his work, and I promise you that you won’t be disappointed.

He’s widely known for his popular TV show, The Joy Of Painting’, and during his career he went from being a public television personality back in the 80’s and 90’s, before the YouTube generation became obsessed with his work after his videos were posted online.

He is SO loved by many in his afterlife, that popular streaming channel Twitch started a nine-day marathon of his The Joy Of Painting series on October 29 2015, and has continued to do so eversincme, after its first launch brought in an impression 5.6million viewers. October 29 is the day Bob was born, so it’s only fitting to have a long marathon dedicated to one of his most popular series for all to enjoy.

Well now it’s officially back, and Bob is currently streaming live on Twitch for all to see, and if you want to get in on the action then you just need to head on over to the official stream, which is here. That’s not all, as you can also get in on the Bob Ross action, as Twitch has encouraged the viewers to join in with some of the popular paintings, by tweeting their wonderful recreations at @twitchcreates and @bobrossofficial.

Recently, popular Twitch streamer and YouTuber Jenna Marbles posted a tribute video to Bob Ross, where she attempted to try her hand at one of his popular episodes of The Joy of Painting.
