There’s A New Fan Theory On How Loki Will Be Revived In Avengers 4

It’s safe to say Avengers: Infinity War didn’t exactly come to the happiest of conclusions.

The closing scenes offered up arguably the most emotional moments to date in the Marvel franchise, as Thanos snapped his fingers and wiped out half of the universe.

It’s one of the film’s earliest deaths that hit the hardest though, as fan-favourite, villain and good guy, Loki became one of Thanos’ first victims in the opening scene.

Despite that fans are clinging on to hope that Loki could make a return, I mean this is Marvel after all so it’s 100% possible.

Rumours of a return for the character were sparked after it reports began to circulate that Tom Hiddleston had definitely been on set filming for next year’s sequel.

Audiences have their own theories on how Loki could return, the most popular being Thor turning to their sister, Hela, otherwise known as the goddess of death, played by Cate Blanchett.

Hela made her way into the Marvel universe in Thor: Ragnarok as she tried to overtake her ‘rightful’ place on the throne, though she appeared to perish at the end of the film as the fire demon Surtur destroyed Asgard.

However we never actually had any kind of confirmation that Hela had died in the battle, given the rest of the movie she obviously knew how to handle herself in such exchanges.

The possibility was discussed by a Reddit user who went on to say that Thor will find Hela – as well as Valkyrie (Tessa Thompson) and Rocket Raccoon (Bradley Cooper) – and they will go to the same cave that Thor was seen visiting with Erik Selvig in Avengers: Age of Ultron.

“…to use it in some way to allow Thor to travel to Hel and confront Hela who is trapped or residing down there once more, after her defeat in Thor: Ragnarok, to help him bring their brother Loki back from the dead,”

It would be a shame to lose Loki completely from the next film, especially considering him suffering such an early death in Infinity War.

The as-yet untitled follow up to Infinity War will be with us April 26, 2019 and will be broken up by Ant Man and the Wasp along with Captain Marvel in the Marvel universe.

Rumours are circulating that the film will be titled Avengers: End Game, though they are nothing more than whispers at the minute.

Chris Hemsworth has previously claimed the plot for the next film will be “even more shocking” than Infinity War too, if you heart can possibly go through such a rollercoaster again.
