The players of Pokemon Go have gone crazy since an image of legendary Pokemon Articuno defending a gym has surfaced. Although the image is believed to be fake, fans have found out that it is not a tough job to create fake Pokemon in the game.
There have been instances where players have used image manipulation software to make legendary Pokemon appear in Pokemon Go. On the other hand, some skilled modders have also created proxy software which let the players have their own Pokemon Go servers and change the data as per their wish.
This means that the players using the software can put any Pokemon they want in the game and take screenshots and supply them as evidence.
The official proxy page shows that the game’s data can be manipulated to an unimaginable extent. The Pokemon in the Pokedex shown in the screenshot above all have CPs higher than 9000, including legendaries such as Articuno and Mewtwo.
By using this cheating method, players can also choose what kind of items they receive from Pokestops. This means you can even get master balls or backpacks using this hack.
However, the modification of the proxy software is limited to their own servers and not on Niantic’s official servers. The honest players have nothing to worry about in regards to cheaters as the users of the software can do nothing more than pull a simple prank as their changes can’t be used in the actual game and is restricted to client side only.
Some of the tricksters using such proxy softwares are making players believe that Pokemon such as Ditto and other legendary Pokemon are out in the wild, ready to be captured. Players must be cautious about using these cheats and stay away from using such software as this can put them at risk of getting banned similar to using other hacks like unlimited Pokecoins generators.
