Twitch is the world’s most popular streaming site, so it’s no surprise that they’ve partnered with the infamous Dr. DisRespect.

Dr DisRespect revealed his partnership with Twitch through a hilarious video set on a spacecraft. He says, “I’m at the tippety-top of the mountain, and I’m only half way up” before flying off into the purple clouds of Twitch.

The rise of popularity in Twitch competitor Mixer has surely put the pressure on to snag and keep some more high-brow streamers after the loss of Tyler “Ninja” Blevins back in 2019. You may also recall another up-and-coming Twitch rival – Caffeine – signing singer Drake in a recent partnership. Does this mean the heat is on Twitch to keep pushing to be number one?

What Does Dr DisRespect Signing an Exclusive Streamer Deal with Twitch Mean?

Twitch have signed Dr DisRespect on a locked down exclusive deal (which we suspect they’ve paid a hefty amount for the privilege of). This means that Doc will legally not be allowed to be partnered with any other live streaming platforms like Mixer, YouTube and Facebook Gaming, tying the hilarious persona to Twitch solely.

Who is Dr DisRespect?

Herschel “Guy” Beahm IV, commonly known by his online name Dr DisRespect, is internet famous for his gaming and general entertainment content across social media platforms like Twitch and YouTube.

Dr DisRespect became an icon in not just the gaming industry but also the worldwide streaming industry for his bold personality and characteristic wig, sunglasses and moustache (yes, Dr DisRespect’s moustache is real!).

He received the accolade of Trending Gamer at The Game Awards in 2017. He is quite focused when it comes to which types of shooting games he plays, being very quick to turn on a game if it doesn’t seem to be going his way. Dr DisRespect is most known for streaming gaming content on Apex Legends, Battlefield V, PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds (PUBG) and more recently, Escape from Tarkov.
